PC (USA) May Embrace Homosexuality while Rejecting Israel

An arm of the Presbyterian Church USA, PC(USA) is taking another stab at trying to persuade its 2.4 million members that Zionism is the sole reason why there is no peace in the Middle East. On the other hand, PC(USA) may embrace homosexuality and same sex marriage.

While the 221st General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA is one month away, two Presbyterian sects have agreed to jointly pursue an Authoritative Interpretation (AI) of the PCUSA constitution and an amendment to the constitution in support of same-sex marriage. If passed by the General Assembly, an AI would go into effect immediately, while the overture, which they say would “enshrine marriage equality in the Book of Order, if passed by the assembly would have to be ratified by a majority of the PCUSA’s 172 presbyteries. The overtures that initiate those plans have been put into motion and if approved by the General Assembly will allow same-sex marriage in the PCUSA by June 21, 2014.

One Presbytery has approved an overture (Ovt. 021) that completely re-writes the Book of Order’s section on marriage – W4.9000, to “to allow marriage between ‘two people’ rather than limiting marriage to ‘between one man and one woman’ and to allow PCUSA church officials to perform marriage ceremonies between same sex couples,” according to the overture’s rationale. If approved by the assembly and a majority of the presbyteries in the PCUSA, the new definition of marriage for the PCUSA would read:

“Marriage is a gift God has given to all humankind for the well-being of the entire human family. Marriage involves a unique commitment between two people to love and support each other for the rest of their lives. The sacrificial love that unites the couple sustains them as faithful and responsible members of the church and the wider community.”

I AM NOT A SAINT! In fact, I had a homosexual experience in my younger years as prodigal child of God, before rededicating my life to the Lord. I was ashamed for years to tell anyone. I also was a habitual fornicator with women. It was not until I read Romans 7:15-25 that I realized that it was impossible without Christ for me to Not do what I knew innately was immoral and unnatural.

Nevertheless, Read All of Romans 1:16-32 to find out how God views Lesbian and Homosexual relationships and why people are apostate...

BELOW IS AN EXCERPT OF ROMANS 1:16-32:

Romans 1:21-27 (NLT)
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

Galatians 5:16-17 (NIV)
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Does PC(USA) Divestment from Israel Contradict the Holy Bible?

The PC(USA) DVD and Study Guide blames Zionism for lack of peace. But the Bible says, “While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly…” (1 Thessalonians 5:3-4).

In June 2004, the General Assembly met in Richmond, Virginia and adopted by a vote of 431-62 a resolution that called on the church's committee on Mission Responsibility through Investment (MRTI) "to initiate a process of phased, selective divestment in multinational corporations operating in Israel."

A second resolution, calling for an end to the construction of a wall by the state of Israel, passed. The Vatican and its Jesuit/Knights of Malta diplomatic arm in the UNITED NATIONS under UN resolutions 181 and 194, want to make Jerusalem an international city controlled by an International Regime such as the Vatican (2 Thessalonians 2). In 1948, the Vatican created the office of Apostolic Delegate to Jerusalem and Palestine, which had jurisdiction in British Mandate Palestine, Transjordan (now Jordan) and Cyprus.

Corpus Separatum (Latin for "separated body") is a term used to describe the Jerusalem area in the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (State of Israel). According to the plan the city would be placed under International Regime (Not belonging to Israel, Muslims or Arab Palestinians), conferring it a "Special Status" (2 Thess. 2).

The Holy See expressed support for the status of Corpus SeparatumPope Pius XII was among the first to make such a proposal in the 1949 encyclical Redemptoris Nostri Cruciatus. This idea was later re-proposed during the papacies of John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II.

The Jesuit’s Counter-Reformation, and Ecumenical Movement promulgated by Vatican II (1958-1965)—has infiltrated, divided and conquered the Presbyterian and Methodist churches. These churches have been deceived into aiding and abetting the Vatican! Some Presbyterians played an important role in the Ecumenical Movement, including the World Council of Churches. The World Council of Churches (WCC) turned its head to the atrocities against the Jews in Europe during WWII.

Many Presbyterian denominations are now collaborating with other Reformed denominations and Christians of other traditions, especially in the World Communion of Reformed Churches.

Some Presbyterian churches have entered into unions with other churches, such as Methodists, Congregationalists, Lutherans, and the Anglican Communion (Church of England and its colony churches and Episcopal Church in Scotland and America). Like the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, the head of the Anglican Communion is the monarch of England.

The PC(USA) General Assembly also adopted policies rejecting Christian Zionism and the evangelizing efforts of JEWS FOR JESUS. Together, the PC (USA) resolutions caused tremendous dissent within the church and a sharp disconnect with the Jewish community—some critics accused church leaders of anti-Semitism. In August 2011, the American National Middle Eastern Presbyterian Caucus (NMEPC) endorsed the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel.[1]

The Presbyterian Church USA and other Christian religions who want to poke their nose in the Middle East crisis should read the Holy Bible again!

Galatians 4:21-31 (NLT)

Abraham’s Two Children

21 Tell me, you who want to live under the law, do you know what the law actually says? 22 The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife.[a] 23 The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise.
But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise.

24 These two women serve as an illustration of God’s two covenants. The first woman, Hagar, represents Mount Sinai where people received the law that enslaved them. 25 And now Jerusalem is just like Mount Sinai in Arabia,[b] because she and her children live in slavery to the law. 26 But the other woman, Sarah, represents the heavenly Jerusalem. She is the free woman, and she is our mother. 27 As Isaiah said,

“Rejoice, O childless woman,
you who have never given birth!
Break into a joyful shout,
you who have never been in labor!
For the desolate woman now has more children
than the woman who lives with her husband!”[c]
28 And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise, just like Isaac. 29 But you are now being persecuted by those who want you to keep the law, just as Ishmael, the child born by human effort, persecuted Isaac, the child born by the power of the Spirit.

30 But what do the Scriptures say about that? “Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”[d] 31 So, dear brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman; we are children of the free woman.

Isaiah the prophet wrote that all the glory of Kedar will come to an end (Isaiah 21:16). Kedar may refer to: Qedar or Kedar, the second son of Ishmael; Qedarites or Kedar, an Arab tribal confederation named for Ishmael's son; Kedar, Gush Etzion, an Israeli settlement east of Jerusalem near Maale Adumim; Lord Shiva or Kedar, a Hindu god.

THERE WILL BE NO PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST UNTIL CHRIST RETURNS

Matthew 24:1-8 (NLT)

Jesus Foretells the Future

24 As Jesus was leaving the Temple grounds, his disciples pointed out to him the various Temple buildings. 2 But he responded, “Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”

3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?[a]”

4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

Footnotes:
24:3 Or the age?

Regardless of the international efforts of the United Nations, Vatican, British, France, EU, Russia and the United States, there will be no peace in the Middle East until Christ returns.

1 Thessalonians 5:3-4 (NLT)
3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

4 But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.

After the Rapture of Christ's universal church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23), Jesus Christ will come back to destroy the false prophet global religion and political Antichrist system known as Babylon the Great (READ: Revelation 17, 18 and 19). Jesus will end all human government. "Then, when all things are under His authority, the Son will put Himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave His Son authority over all things, will be utterly Supreme over everything everywhere (1 Corinthians 15:28).

I pray that as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1:10 that the Presbyteries and General Assembly agree with one another in what they say regarding the Truth of the Holy Scriptures—and get back to making God's Word the Supreme doctrine of the Presbyterian Church USA.

EndNote:

THERE IS NO PERFECT CHURCH IN THE WORLD...

On the congregational level, a Non-denominational Bible-based church, Baptist or Methodist church usually provides worship, fellowship and community that most Roman Catholics and Anglicans seek—where Christ is the Only head of the church, not a despot. After all Christianity is all about a personal relationship with Jesus.

Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)
25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.
